We participated in the Certified Reference Material Production Affiliation Workshop.
Our Directorate staff participated in the “Certified Reference Material Production Affiliation Workshop” organized by the TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute.
The workshop included comprehensive technical information on reference material and certified reference material production processes, quality management systems, production planning, and workflow processes. Furthermore, mutual discussions were held regarding potential NMR laboratory projects that could be carried out within our Directorate, and possible collaborations were evaluated.
As part of the program, a visit was made to the NMR laboratory operating within the TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute; technical information was obtained regarding the equipment infrastructure, analysis capacity, and laboratory practices.
Following the workshop visit, a technical visit was made to Gebze Technical University. During the visit, under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep SOYER SARICA and Chemist Fuat TOPRAK, inspections were carried out at the Central Research Laboratory (GTÜMAR). Technical observations were made in the NMR laboratory, the animal testing laboratory, and other research laboratories within the laboratory, and information was obtained about the ongoing studies.
Furthermore, a briefing was given on the activities of the Chemistry Department at Gebze Technical University, led by the Head of Department, Prof. Dr. Elif OKUTAN, and the academic studies and laboratory infrastructure were examined on-site. During the tour of the department`s laboratories, evaluations were made regarding the ongoing research activities and existing equipment infrastructure.
The aim of this technical visit and workshop program is to make significant contributions to the development of our Directorate`s analytical infrastructure, support studies in the field of reference material production, strengthen NMR analysis capacity, and increase inter-institutional academic-technical collaborations.
