Participation from ÇANKAM in the BET Surface Area and Pore Size Analysis Seminar

A seminar titled “BET Surface Area and Pore Size Analysis,” organized by Anton Paar at Middle East Technical University, was attended by Feride Naime Türk from our Directorate.

During the seminar, comprehensive information was presented regarding BET analysis methods, which are widely used for determining the surface area, pore volume, and pore size distribution of materials. In addition, current approaches related to adsorption-desorption techniques, analysis parameters, sample preparation processes, and advanced characterization applications were discussed.

Throughout the program, technical evaluations were carried out on modern analytical instruments used in both academic and industrial studies, and experiences concerning various application areas were shared. Opinions were also exchanged on new methodologies that could contribute to the development of our Directorate’s analytical infrastructure.

Our Directorate was represented at the seminar by Lecturer Dr. Feride Naime Türk, who participated in the scientific sessions and technical discussions concerning advanced material characterization techniques and analytical applications.
